I love exploring characters that are as different from me as possible. I mean that in every context: physical transformation; vocal flexibility; or just understanding a soul and a life that is far from my own. I approach all characters with grace and humor. In musical theatre, I emphasize transforming my singing to match each character.  They aren't me, I'm just their conduit, so they shouldn't walk, talk, or sing like me. I aim to play a wide variety of characters, because to me, the great joy of acting is finding similarity where all that seems apparent is difference.
